“We looked into different venues, and accessibility and location were top priorities for us,” LeAnn shared. “The Manning Hasubarn Heritage Park, being right in our hometown, was ideal. The proximity of the different buildings was another deciding factor. Our grandparents could easily get between the church and reception without any hassle.”

The ceremony, held in the charming Trinity Church on the park grounds, was a beautiful testament to their commitment. “The church is beautiful, small, and intimate,” LeAnn recalled. “We could see each of our friends and loved ones from where we stood.”

The reception followed seamlessly in the Konferenz Centre. “The ample amount of space the conference center provides is great,” LeAnn said. “We rented the entire building so if any guests were looking for a quieter space they could go to the opposite side away from the music. We had plenty of room in the main conference room for the dance floor, buffet line, and for all our guests to celebrate comfortably.”

Beyond the convenient layout, the park’s natural beauty provided a stunning backdrop for capturing memories. “Our best photos were taken outside,” LeAnn shared. “The church makes for beautiful pictures, and there’s a gorgeous tree-lined path behind the venue that would be perfect for photos in warmer weather.”

The couple also praised the Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park staff for their support. “They were extremely helpful,” LeAnn shared. “Kristina, our point of contact, was always available to answer questions and was very accommodating with any timeline changes we needed for decorating or cleaning up. They were upfront about things, ensuring we were comfortable with everything.”

Convenience wasn’t the only perk; the all-inclusive nature of the location played a big part in their decision. “This is a beautiful location with everything in one place,” the couple shared. “The church, conference center, the Hausbarn (if you have your ceremony there), and the hotel are all within walking distance from one another.”

The venue’s accessibility, stunning spaces, and exceptional staff all contributed to an unforgettable celebration of their love. If you are looking for a beautiful and convenient location for your wedding, contact us today to learn more about our wedding rental packages.

The Gruhn Outdoor Wedding

“I stood at the edge of the grove and saw a path down through the trees. I instantly knew this is where I would walk down the aisle.”

When Brandi was planning her wedding, one of her top priorities was having an outdoor venue for her ceremony. But she soon discovered that finding an outdoor venue with a backup option in case of rain proved to be quite the challenge.

“My mom suggested that we look at the Hausbarn in Manning as it offered outdoor and indoor spaces. I had no idea of all the amazing options the Hausbarn Heritage Park had. After touring the grounds, we knew it was the perfect location for our wedding,” Brandi shared.

Set amid the natural beauty of the rolling fields and prairies of western Iowa, the Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park has both indoor and outdoor facilities perfect for wedding ceremonies. Couples can choose from the historic Trinity Church, the authentic German Hausbarn or any one of the beautiful outdoor locations throughout the Farmstead.

“The grove provided the perfect boho backdrop,” Brandi said. “The staff noted that they had not done a wedding set up this way before but were open and excited to try something new.”

The question remained though, what if it rained?

“The Heritage Park also has a beautiful church and barn that would have worked perfectly for our big day. We lucked out, and it did not rain on our wedding day, but we were so relieved to know that we had other options,” Brandi said.

In addition to several options for wedding ceremonies, the park also has a variety of beautiful photo opportunities.

“We were able to take pictures in the grove, by the barn, on the dirt road, by the church. Our pictures are amazing,” Brandi expressed. “We were also able to rent the conference center to get ready for the day. My beauticians and make-up artists came to the park to get the girls ready. We were able to have lunch and relax in the hall between pictures.”

The Hausbarn Heritage Park takes pride in offering top notch accommodations and amenities for weddings as well as exceptional customer service.

“The staff at the Hausbarn were so accommodating, insanely helpful throughout our day, and continued to help bring my dream to life,” Brandi shared. “Our whole experience at the Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park was enjoyable and stress-free. Our big day was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the Heritage Park to any newly engaged couples.”
