Welcome to the Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park. The centerpiece of the Manning Community Foundation and home to our 350 year old authentic German Hausbarn. From the Immigrant Courtyard and the Trinity Church to the antique farm equipment and the Leet/Hassler Farmstead, the Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park is full of attractions that are guaranteed to take you back in time and allow you to experience the authentic German heritage.

Park Features
German Hausbarn
This common 1660’s German dwelling is an incredible piece of history right here in Manning, Iowa. Having survived hundreds of years and traveling thousands of miles, the authentic German Hausbarn is a must see when looking for Iowa attractions.
HISTORICAL TRINITY CHURCH
The beautiful Trinity Lutheran Church dates back to 1913 with ties in the community going back as far as 1884. Take a look inside and see how this church traveled 11 miles to become an iconic part of our Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park.
Historical Farmstead
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Leet/Hassler Farmstead is a well-preserved representation of turn-of-the-century farm life in Manning, Iowa. The home, carriage house, barn, scale house, boar house, corn crib, and chicken coop are all a part of what makes this attraction such an amazing site to see.
FREEDOM ROCK
Greenfield artist, Ray “Bubba” Sorensen II, began a tour in 1999 with the painting of a large rock north of Greenfield and is now extending his paintings to one rock in each Iowa county. The Carroll County Freedom Rock is located on the east edge of Manning, in Willow Creek Park.
